# Appearance

> Give AuthenticateMe its own look in your server, and edit every message it posts.

The Appearance page changes how AuthenticateMe looks in your server, from its profile picture and name to the messages it posts. Changes only apply to your server.

## App profile

| Option | Choices |
| - | - |
| Profile Picture | Eight colors, which are Blue, Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Mint, Purple, and Pink |
| Name | AuthenticateMe, Verification, or a custom name of 2 to 32 characters |
| Font | 12 Discord display name fonts, such as Tempo, Sakura, Medieval, and Eight Bit |
| Effect | Solid, Gradient, Neon, Toon, Pop, Gummy, or Prism |
| Color | Colors that match the profile picture, or any color you pick |

The preview on the right shows the profile card, a message, and the member list entry as your members will see them. Switch the preview between dark and light, or press **Surprise me** for a random combination.

>
> A custom name needs the **Change Nickname** permission. The bio, status, and banner stay the same in every server, and the name styles can look a little different across Discord apps.

## Messages

The **Messages** section lists every message AuthenticateMe posts in your server. Click one to open the message editor.

| Help Desk Message | The first message of each help thread. See [Help Desk](https://docsm.authenticateme.xyz/settings/help-desk.md). |
| Honeypot Message | The warning pinned in your Honeypot channel. See [Honeypot](https://docsm.authenticateme.xyz/settings/account.md#honeypot). |

These are the same messages you can edit from the Settings page.

## Who can change it

Editing the profile and the messages needs edit access to the Appearance page. By default, that's members with **Manage Server**, **Manage Messages**, and **Manage Nicknames**. Change it on the [Permissions](https://docsm.authenticateme.xyz/dashboard/permissions.md) page.
