# About AuthenticateMe

> Who builds AuthenticateMe, why it exists, and how to reach us.

We build verification tools that stop alt accounts, ban evaders, and raids without making real members jump through hoops.

## Our mission

Discord communities deserve better than basic captchas and easily bypassed checks. AuthenticateMe gives server owners real security, with fingerprinting, threat scoring, VPN detection, and raid controls that actually work.

Whether you run a small community or a large public server, the goal is the same. Keep bad actors out, and let genuine members in with as little friction as possible.

## Our story

AuthenticateMe started as a project by our CEO and lead developer, Gh0st, because nothing else did everything we needed. Useful features were locked behind paywalls or didn't cover every base, so we built our own, driven by passion rather than a grand business plan.

It grew through feedback. Server owners told us what they needed, we listened, and we kept improving. That's still how we work today.
